Statement of Purpose
Ashoi was setup to strengthen social impact opportunities by providing strategic guidance to Philanthropists, Foundations, Nonprofits and Corporates to address India’s key development challenges.
We are driven by our belief in the work of our partners and are motivated by the desire to achieve that potential through smart and effective strategies.
Ashoi is the support that aligns leaders with their purpose through an impact lens, build effective organisations and equip them to create positive social impact.
About Founder
Nafeeza brings over 20 years of unique experience in various advisory roles across the social-impact landscape. This wealth of knowledge is gained from engaging with Non-profits, funding organisations, while working with sector experts, grant management and grant monitoring agencies.
She has helped grow organisations – from setting up governance and operational systems to building their brand, developing communication to increase their visibility, set goals, as well as provide fundraising and capacity building support. Notable mentions include Non-profits such as Samerth Charitable Trust, Sense International India, Motivation India, Family Welfare Agency and Jan Vikas Samiti; and Start-ups such as Harvi Infrabuild Pvt. Ltd and Barefoot Organics that aspires to be one India’s biggest organic retail chains by 2030.
On the donor side, Nafeeza has assisted Philanthropists and Family-led business with customised support to meet their philanthropic objectives. In a span of 5 years, Nafeeza has been able to divert approximately INR 15 Crore from philanthropists to the social sector.
Nafeeza holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and a Bachelor ‘s degree in Sociology from Mumbai University. She is on the Board of Trustees at Samerth Charitable Trust, Ahmedabad and the National Indian Association, Ahmedabad. She is also a member of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (WICCI) Gujarat Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Council.
